I run family business and ran it all through here.Insurance only goes up if I get ticket or accident. My CPA told me to buy SUV but this is much better. In 3 or 4 years when depreciated company sells me car for cheap.
So far I did RV and Magnum in this manner...Rich get richer...poor get pissed....

Thanks for all the replies. I'll probably buy the car.

My insurance only goes up $200 per year over what I'm paying for base model Charger. I can transfer the lisence plates and save some cost in first year. Sales tax in Michigan will be 2500 bucks. Probably will finance part of it for cash flow convenience, with option to pre pay or pay down balance.

Keep the replies coming....I like the ones about finding a reason ot driveit!!

If you can afford SRT (and afford includes the higher insurance), then I would say get it.
Sad but true... the insurance is cheaper for the SRT8 Challenger than the 04 Neon... go figure.

Really, Bud, if you arent stuck on having a manual, theres really no reason to NOT get the 08 at sticker.
Seems like a no brainer to me too.

I made the commitment today for the Hemi Orange, fully loaded, 2008 SRT 8.

$44,400 out the door, inc taxes and plate transfer. Offering me 100 % financing 0 down, can pay ahead as I want.

Maybe Friday afternoon or Tuesday after Labor Day.

Still, I am torn. I am a slow poke driver, like cars, can't see where I'll have opportunity to "stand on it" but the time is now and the price is right. I'm sure the fun will come.

That's funny, I received a call from the dealer in Garden City, Mi. this morning. They were one of the dealers I had contacted about one at MSRP. They said that they had one come available. I told them that I had already committed to an 09 R/T. Could this be the same car?

Great price Steve, and if it was zero down i'm sure you got a great interest rate as well.
It is a fast car, and if you drive it mild.... Its still a beautiful FAST car. Congrats!

All the collecting you have done on this car, it only stands to reason it would lead to ownership
