Getting back to the original subject of this thread, the spare tire, I got a classic reaction to the SE this afternoon. After picking up my spare and a jack, it was too late to take the Challenger back home, so it had to endure a night on the streets in wonderful downtown San Antonio. On the way to work, I drove past a dealer called Lone Star Chrysler (Lone Star Dodge is way out on the Northwest Side). Apparently, the salesmen there hadn't seen a Challenger yet. Two of them were standing outside smoking and drinking coffee when one of them spots my 09. His mouth literally dropped open and he started pointing at me. The other salesman jerked around so fast he spilled his coffee. Both of them stood there staring at me, so I casually waved as I went by. Watching in the rear-view, I saw them come around the front of the building to see me go down the street. Nothing like the Rock Star feeling a Challenger gives you. [8D]

I get the same reaction even without having a spare!
Was going to get the "dount" spare tire, but figured it would attract to many cops.................

so I take it if you didn't order the spare you didn't get a Jack either?
I just went thru my trunk earlier and didn't see one.

I must say it's pretty badass to fill your tires with that pump. Just did it.
Takes a bit but so much better then trying to find a gas station with one that works correctly.
so many busted ones out here

So Carbon, tell me more about your experience with the inflator kit. Did you use the stop leak? Did it take very long? I am personally concerned about using the inflator, espcially with high dollar tires. I suppose the low profile helps with fill time but my previous experience with 12 volt pumps was very slow.

I just used it to add 2-3 pounds in both right side tires that were low. it's took about 1 minute to go from 30 to 32 pounds on my 20's but that is much better then going to a gas station or busting out my big ass compressor.
the one problem I had at first was the Switch that goes between Leak fixing and just plain air seems messed up, took forever the switch it over cuz it seemed jammed.
I might go exchange it since that didn't seem right.

Yeah Carbon, I got to tell you the whole thing seems cheesey. I see a big, kind of round pocket in my spare area. Can I get a real spare in threre?
