Yeah, when I was in vegas i saw the openings, but i wasn't sure if they were functioning or just for visuals...

i'm glad they're functioning...i'm on mopar.com wondering if there's something else i can do to it

What does "functional" hood scoops mean? On the Charger SRTs they just allow cool air to flow over the engine and manifolds. [sm=badidea.gif]

It's probably the same as the charger (unfortunately), but i'm certain that mopar (also many others) are coming up with a ram air induction for the hood scoops....

I don't know, I think there is a chance that they will offer a Ram-Air on this. Why else would they have spend the time and money to build one for the concept when none of the other SRT-8s had one on their concepts?

Same reason they designed the interior they way they did...because it was a concept...made to look increadible

The hood scoops open when the gas peddal is pressed. Its super cool & you can find videos on it to verify it

On the concept they do open with the gas....but i'm pretty sure its just an open scoop....i wasn't allowed to have cameras at the announcement show

From what I understand I think the Challenger is supposed to have close to what the concept had. Something to think about, don't you think that Chrysler would have wanted to do the same thing with the other SRTs as they are trying to appeal to much the same audience? I think it is likely that we will see a Ram-Air induction system.
