If you can afford it, and thats what you want, I say go for it! IMO the manual is what really makes this car something special (even though I havent driven either yet, LOL). You get the LSD, the tuned exhaust, and the satisfaction of rowing your own gears! Whats not to love about that? The only drawbacks I can think of are that you lose your remote start feature and your numbered badge.

Are you planning on ordering one or getting one from dealer stock?

im thinkin dealer stock. my srt didnt come with remote start so no loss there. i'd be losing the 13 speaker setup- no big. the auto stick is ok but its a pain in the ass all in the same breath. the #rd badge is worth 5 cents. 08 is only first edition - not limited edition. im thinkin down the road the 09 with m. tranny will be more rare. i guees it will come down to how much ill get hosed tryin to deal. ill lose the premium i paid but if i can swing an equal trade or only have to cough up 2g's it may be worth it. at the worst i still have an 08, lol. vynle

I'd definitely trade that old buggy in. Who would possibly want to drive around in one of those old beaters when you can have The Car Of The Future Now?

My personal opinion? Trade it in. I love my 09 to death! Having the 6 speed just makes this car so right. You can order the 13 speaker kit for the SRT as I have it in mine. Nothing quite like having those gears right there to use if you have to or just plain want to.

And, vynle, don't have a second thought about the fate of that old 08. Modern Sales Techniques will assure it finds a new home.
