Default Trading in my corvette.

Well, I'm trading in my 1978 corvette for a new challenger. There are quite a few showing up on showroom floors in new york now and man, they look sweet!

Good choice and congrats on moving up! The Vette may be cool but the Challenger is dynomite! You dont give up speed but you do get more room and a prettier car.

You'll likely get more if you sell the Vette, the dealer trade in value will probably make you scream and pull your hair out.

What are the details about your 1978 Corvette? Pace Car? Anniversary edition? Condition?

I might be interested in your car - don't trade it - they will treat it like an ordinary used car.

its a very very nice 'vette.
1978, torch red, just had it repainted about 3 years aog in original color, real nice and glossy, some marks, not a show car, but a good 5 ft job.
brand new transmission 700r4 automatic w/ overdrive so she gets a good 24 mpg hwy, new bushings, new braking systme including rebuilt master cyl and all new calipers, new fuses, just tuned up, new headlights, redyed interior two tone red and black, looks really nice. Brand new rear suspension, new rear differential, 3.73 gear ratio, numbers matching original engine, 86k miles, still runs very strong and healthy. new bushings, new trailing arms, just lazer precision aligned. Uhm...New shocks KYB performance...I think thats it. Full tank of gas too

Also, sadly the market is so slow for the old vettes that a dealer can probably give you a better price for the time spent trying to sell it.

Don't take it. Just sell it private party. Cars are one of the absolute worst things to get impatient about. That and houses.
