Default Two Challengers in one day

Last Friday turned out to be a busy day for my cell phone regarding the Challenger. The first phone call came in just after lunch from my father (Dodge engineer) who was at CTC for a meeting and ran into some guys that used to work for him, one of them is on the Challenger team and let my father drive an ’09 R/T auto. Dad said the car felt as fast as his R/T Charger but handled nicer. He wasn’t able to get any other info regarding what is going on.

The second phone call came from my brother who spotted a Silver SRT Challenger at Lifetime fitness in Novi. He got some pictures on his camera phone. This car is very interesting. It has the SRT rear spoiler and seats. No hood strips and all the badges were pulled off the car. It is a 6SP car. Something I noticed right away is on the interior picture you can see a big red cut-off button behind the shifter. My thought is this is the emergency engine cut off switch. This leads me to believe that this is the big 6.4L HEMI! I believe this because all of dodges other engines are proven. There is no reason to have that cut off switch unless they are testing an engine that is not in production. There are some letters around the switch but I can’t read them, when I zoom the picture in they get all fuzzy.

Interesting...very interesting! The possibilities, a 6.4 would be a logical step for a rebuttle to anything Chevy throws out there. Its nice to have an arsonal ready for the war

The car they brought to the Calgary Auto show had the same red button, my guess is all preproduction driveable cars have it.

The dash looks a bit different too. Notice the facia around the gauges, had not seen that.

Nice post
