water spots on black paint
When I got my car it was very dirty didnt care much but after washing it many times with car wash soap and spunge The hood roof trunck are full of waterspots that wont go away anyone with similer problems or sugestions to fix?clean ? thanks Geoff
Wash, dry, wax.End of story. You have to dry car if you want no spots. To keep it looking good takes a lot of effort.
My wifes car was just detailed,by me, then it got rained on and she parked it in garage and let it dry and spots appeared.
I bought a stack of micro fibre towels at sams club and told her to use them.LOL
I am going to try Turtle wax Ice and see if it is any better.

If the spots won't come off with a good cleaner wax like meguires then I would try a claybar and instant detailer for the lube.

Black cars ar tough to keep showroom clean. Use a filter on your garden hose to filter out the minerals- that is what causes water spots. (You can buy one at Home Depot). Or use the Mr. Clean system-has built in filter and water softeners).
Also, use Meguiars Detail Spray. It will remove the spots and give your car a mirror finish. I have a black car and it really works!

I have an '07 Grand Prix in black. I use a shammy then I use ANY one of the spray waxes ( I buy whatever is cheapest ). They all seem to work very well on black paint, or any other color. No water marks when finished. Spray on wipe off. It's that easy...
thanks Let me bs more detailed These spot were on the car from the day one and I have washed dryed a few times and cant get them removed I didnt want to use anything harsh they wont budge with soap spung shamme ..what cleaner should I try? the car was caked with rail dirt and rained on when I recieved it ..
Not sure how bad your spots are, could be tree sap, here is my advice:
Clay bar, and then wax, when washing filter the water if you have hard water and use a good car wash, not dish soap.
Nothing looks better then a clean black car or truck
I use ICE and like the results. so far
