I'm lucky because I live in an unincorporated area, but they are talking about raising it again in Aurora, yet the cost of living goes up and the salaries stay the same. Gotta love it.

I don't think how "active" a poster is has much to do with how "accurate the information may be. Sometimes less active posters come up with the best info. I've seen some of the posts that you are referring to, they often contain a lot of incorrect information. The posts are sometimes written from the angle that the information is confirmed or "official" when it's actually not. Unfortunately the info gets repeated everywhere and a lot of people will believe it. As "Allpar Bob" used to say, "it ain't official until it's official".

 

MSRP is not relevant. Price you pay is.

 

Sure it's relevant, it is the most common "reference point" used in negotiating a price. The best reference point of course is dealer invoice. Anyone out there who cannot negotiate an under-MSRP deal on a Challenger during calendar year 2008 is not a very savy buyer IMO.

 

IMVHO - If you think you are going to get this very limited number production car in year one for under MSRP, you need to up the dose on your medication.

 

"Very limited"? SRT models, absolutely; other models like the base V6 and R/T, not so "limited". I also said "calendar year 2008" which means 2009 models as well. By this time next year production should be rolling right along.
