I am thinking that right before the offical launch we will see one of the first models on sale at the B-J auction a la the Shelby GT500.

I am curious though about where the concept car will end up though ?? auctioned maybe, some dodge museum ?? maybe destroyed any ideas about where the concepts go ??

 

Actually wondered that myself. I thought I heard of a concept being sold to a private owner some time ago. I would expect DCX to retain it...

 

The concept cars go into storage at Chrysler. Sometimes they're kept, and sometimes they're disassembled/destroyed. Back in the old days, a few of the concepts slipped out...but Chrysler does not sell the concept cars, which makes sense when you think about it.

 

most concepts made in the last 20 or so years are stored around the country, with quite a few in detroit...the WPC museum moves them in and out as the year goes on...ive seen quite a few early 90s concepts (including the first viper) in there.

 

The concept might end up in the WPC museum like the the viper concept did.

 

It very well could be sold.

My brother bought a prototype 98 Ponitac Firehawk, from a ponitac rep and got a great deal on it. It was 1 of 5 cars made during that year to display in magazines and due testing on. At this point it really hasn't went up in value, but I think in the future will be a collector car.

 

the WPC museum will get the car,it might be displayed or just go to storage in highland park. that's what i've heard this past year. pretty good source.
