when i pick up my car today..
is there anything I should look for.
i read there are some defects on the bottom of the side views, and a few paint streaking issues.
is there a list of things I should check?? when i go to pick it up?

Look for damage underneath the front at the cowling and pan. Other than that just look it over well.
Mostly though... watch out for the grin...

Some of the things Ill be checking for when my time comes based on previous posts in this forum and others:
Dents and Scratches (Hail Damage)
Paint Runs or Bubbles
Misalligned Exhaust Tips
Rubber shavings in the rear wheel well. (and rear tire tread depth)
Missing Parts: (such as)
Keyless Go Button
The plastic piece over the radiator (with the cup holders in it)
Tool Kit w/ tire pump
Front License Plate Bracket (If required)
But then again, Im a picky SOB when I pay almost $50,000 for a vehicle. [sm=lildevil.gif]

I would do all what was said above.
But also check:
- Alarm system works.
- Leather and Cloth seats damage or imperfections.
- Lever for seating, automatic adjustable seats, and heat seats work.
- Make sure radio works: Sirius, CD, DVD, Navigation, and other things.
- Lighting works: Turn signals, headlights, fogs.
- Mats or custom mats are included.
- Mirrors adjust, bend-inwards, and heat (if you got that option).
- Illuminated Cupholders actually work.
- Instrument Cluster: Temperature and Compass Gauge, Vehicle Information Center, Steering Wheel Mounted Audio Controls, Tire Pressure Monitoring Display, and Steering Wheel Mounted Audio Controls work.
- UConnect Hands-Free Communication and Universal Garage Door Opener work.
- Power Sunroof works.
- High-Intensity Discharge Headlamps work.
- Engine Block Heater works.
- Compact Spare Tire is actually there.
- Windshield wipers work.
- And exterior body and paint is perfect: Check for paint imperfections, R/T Hood to Fender Stripes, emblems, and spoiler is ok.

A lot of these things seem like theyll be covered under the bumper to bumper warranty... I dont think I d be to worried about most of that stuff unless like said above it is actual equipment that they can accuse you of stealing if not reported early. And even then you could probably get doubles of some of that stuff if you know how to talk to people.
Especially if you just paid over 40k for a car. Shoot theyll still want you to service your car there so thats money in the bank for them too.

Rather be safe than sorry. That's just me. I hate going back for warranty work for minor imperfections. Rather take care of them then and there before you pull off the lot. Saves time that way.
