Is there any information on what makes the Challenger weight 4150 lbs besides being pretty big? Sound's like it needs some carbon fiber.

Its based off the LX Charger chassis. And with all the safety engineering and power door lacks, power windows, traction control, yada yada. Well you see. Its not a muscle car of the 70s, this one you can drive all day and still be comfortable. Believe me I know, driving my 70 will wear you out So with all that leather and motor nannies for comfort you add alot of weight to the beast. The Camaro is built from scratch and still hits the scales at almost 4000 lbs. But if you look at the performance of both cars they beat their older brethren. They out excellerate, stop and handle the older cars. But I still love the older ones more

you know wat i noticed, challengers one airbag on each side that go all the way to the back seats....there goes my idea of taking out the bak airbags and seats and making the car into a more lightweight 2 seater...

i wonder if you can replace the current one with a standard 1 seat airbag?

Dont forget the steel girders they had to install into the doors for crash test ratings. Those doors could probably be used as supports for the Empire State Building.
