RE: Where's my VIN?
I ordered my SRT on May 13th and only received my VIN Aug 11th. Cant say its typical but it does take quite a long time to get it. If you look at the Registry page you can get a good feel for how long people have been waiting.

RE: Where's my VIN?
Ditto on the May 13th order date, but still havent gotten a VIN. Or VON for that matter, but thats a different story. My dealer is saying I should have my VIN sometime next week. But then again, he said the same thing two weeks ago LOL. If patience is a virtue, this car is going to lead me straight to hell.

Welcome to the wait.
Trying to make sense of it will only make you crazy... and angry...
Just have to chill out and accept that Dodge seems to do things on Dodges schedule... [8D]

You guys need to do something to help the time pass. Why not read the entire "who has an 08 ordered". Hundreds of pages of waiting challaholics. In the end not one said it was not worth the wait. Birddog waited until he could wait no more and then still got the car. Now he is talking about a second one. I know a couple guys on this very board that bought more then one 08s when all was said and done. I'm getting an 09, but before its all done you'll sware you wont go through it again. Must be one helliva car!

RE: Where"s my VIN?
Its the obsession... its The Car. Andres suggestion to read the WHO HAS A 2008 CHALLENGER ON ORDER thread will definately help pass the time... and quite a bit of it at that.
I might suggest stocking up on plenty of glue and checking out the Challaholics thread for some helpful insight... Definately worth the wait though... not to mention the monolithic grin syndrome!

RE: Where"s my VIN?
LOL!! I have been reading EVERY post on this site since the day I joined and it sure has helped to pass the time. That is until you 08 guys started getting your cars. Then my patience went out the window hearing how wonderful this car is. Then going to see one in person at the dealer and sitting in it etc. made it even worse.

I do like the way the folks on this board make fun of themselves regarding the wait. When you think about it there is nothing else to do. BTW, my is in D and has been for 3 weeks, and dealer says he has seen them go to D1 and the next week it is on his lot and he finds himself calling a surprised customer who ordered it.

RE: Where"s my VIN?
My vehicle just hit "D" status and I got my VIN#.
It is weird because when I called the Dodge hotline the Indian dude told me my vehicle was in BX. I said, "OK. and hung-up". I then turned and called my dealer and he gave me my status code and VIN#. I dont trust the hotline no-longer. Anyways I got my VIN# and the car is moving pretty fast in about a month time.
