RE: Who has a 2008 Challenger on order?
Budman:
Step 1 in the SE-ordering process completed. Fred Garza of Fiesta Dodge in San Antonio is putting in my order for one Stone White 2009 Challenger SE with smoker's package (hell, yes, I want a lighter in the car) and spare tire ($21,995 + "about $30" + $100). I'm going to stop out there Wednesday before work and get my paperwork. He expects delivery "about December."
Yes, the price is MSRP. No, they don't require a deposit.

Is MSRP a good deal on the SE? If previous SRT, RT, SE lines are any indication the SE should be a little lower than MSRP, the RT should be right around MSRP and the SRT at MSRP or slightly over, depending on the section of the country you live in. I would suggest trying for a deal something like MSRP at the most. You never know what will happen by the time they build tens of thousands of the SE model.
Just a suggestion

Good points, Dave. But I figure that the price of the SE is low enough that I can take the hit. At any rate, I'll be the first on my block with one.

8H291045 please. It appears to have been in quality control since Friday. This forum has been a great help and I know several members have busted their hump to help those of us who are helpless. Good Luck to all and maybe by Thanksgiving we can all look back with a big laugh at all of the nonsense Chrysler has heaped upon us. The worst part is that the dealers seem to be out in the cold and the information gathered here is way more up to date than their information. Could also be the dealers don't know what they are doing.
Keep The Faith, we will all be better off when the vehicles all arrive.
