SKiDs, if I was you I would go grab a handfull of blousing straps as you are going to need them to help you hang on to this beauty. After 100 miles today around town etc. I can tell you this car is one awesome beast. I darn near almost scared myself big time. I was in a passing zone (45 mph zone) following a slow truck and decided to pass. I pulled out, dropped her into 4th from 6th, nailed the gas and hung on. In a few short seconds the needle was passing 80 and still pulling hard. Had to back off as I was in one of our infamous radar zones. Lucky for me..cop free day today! Needless to say, you are going to love, love, love, love this car.

Man, I am so glad you managed to get your hands on that beast. I was just sick for you when your car came in as an Auto. Good things come to those who wait, and the wait is diminishing rapidly. VV has been updating everyday for the last few days detailing the different stops and departures. My most recent news is that Big Red left New Castle, PA about 2.5 hours ago.

Just keeping my fingers crossed that she wont get stuck in Port for too long waiting for a ship. Those 10 days accross the Atlantic will probably be the longest 10 Days of my life. LOL! And since Transportation wont let me pick it up at the port for some reason, Ill have to wait for it to get trucked from Bremmerhaven to Mainz. Im still anticipating a delivery date before Thanksgiving.

I dropped a deposit on an 09 SRT8 6 speed from out of town that is at D1 status and expected soon.

Hope they get it soon - I'm impatient and concerned whether mine ever gets built.

I woke up this morning at 03:30 and couldn't get back to sleep so I checked my Vin Vision status. Big Red arrived at the port in Baltimore 2 days ago! I guess the "dealer" at the Military Prep Center took their sweet time reporting that they recieved the car. I was really worried about the "Special Authority to Move" B.S. that they slapped me with at the last minute. However, it looks like it didn't affect me after all.
So now that she is out of Chrysler's hands, it is time for the hardest part. Waiting to get loaded on a ship and then the 10+ days of transit time. Here's to a safe but speedy journey across the pond. [sm=gears.gif]
Time to go back to bed and try to get another hour of sleep before I have to get up for PT.

Congrats SKiDs... but I would say you made it through the rough part... its built and at least headed your way... many others have not seen that good fortune yet.

The boat ride across the pond should be a breeze... shouldn"t it...
