Might just want to invest in a battery tender. Will maintain a charge on the battery without compromising the car.

I would think that unhooking the battery for that length of time might also cause you to loose all info you may have saved in your my gig if you have it.

Im curious about this as well. Im constantly going out of town for 3-4 months at a time. I dont have access to an outlet when my car is in storage for these trips, so I have to disconnect the battery to keep it from dying in my BMW. When I hook it back up, I have to put the code in to unlock my radio.

I wonder if the MyGig requires a code like that? I read on another post there was something to do with the steering or front suspension you had to calibrate by turning the wheel back and forth from lock to lock in order to clear a fault light on the dash. Also, Im pretty sure your CPU will have to re-learn your driving habits.
