Default Newbie right here

Well my name is Kris, I'm only 18 and joining the military soon, just recently took my ASVAB and I am goin to be a mechanic of some sort. I've always had a fascination with mopar's especially Challengers, I wish i could have been born a few decades earlier to enjoy the era. In short i will be getting a 2008 Challenger at any and all cost, if i have to sell my soul to the devil ( our government lol ) I will with no hesitation, as soon as I'm assigned to a post and get my life set straight, i will be driving one of those Challengers.

Boom... first welcome!! Be very careful with that E-1 thru E-3 pay when paying for a car. If you have to buy used.

Thank you for the welcome, I was just looking at that to, they pay isn't that much but if I could some how get my friend to join friend to join, I could jump rank real quick and hit Specialist, but I still have a good year or two to save up money for a nice big down payment. I'm a long road away from getting my baby but I will, not used I want that new car smell, so when i put my BDU laundry in there it has a unique....fragrance.

I forgot to mention this but ask at MEPS if you can get a slot of 94M(Radar Techinician).. the job is fun and the pay outside of the company is very, very good!

How good are we talking? I have no previous exp. with electronics, or radar for that matter, I'm a big automotive junkie went to H.S. for it and thats the only thing my world revolves around, I eat, sleep, and breath gas.

Well, you'll be working with diodes, radiation, at least 500 miles of wires, -30,000 volts of electricity, circuit cards, and whole bunch of other stuff that they will teach you; but, the pay after you get out and decide to continue to be working with radars is really close to 70G a year.

Welcome Newbie. Better put in that '08 order to go my man. Or does Haddad Dodge have a dealership in Riyadh? They actually might. That would be cool, get yourself an EXPORT Challenger! Believe it or not, the best Muscle Machines that roll off assembly often end up in Countries that don't have so many restrictions on emmisions. When I was a wee line tech at Razzari Dodge in Merced CA I ended up working on a 94 Ram that had a TBI Holley throttle body and headers from the factory! Direct Connection or "Mopar Performance" parts for you wee lads, often end up being used on production export vehicles. All kinds of cool Frankenstein rides go to Mexico, Bahrain, South America etc. Enjoy yourself wherever you end up, if they don't have a Dodge Dealer you can always save up for when you get home and pay CASH. Good Luck Soldier! We appreciate your service in advance, because just in case you are not familiar with the concept of serving, as in to serve, as a servant, you will be soon. I wish every young person had to serve a 2 yr minimum enlistment, this country would be a Nation again.
