The motor is based on the original 426. Kb aluminum block, stage V heads should be around 550+ cubes
linked some pics. car is still mostly in mockup, hopefully the chassis guy will be ready the next week or two

Nicccce! Man that is going to be one bad Challenger. It looks like you've done your homework on that project. Keep us up to date with lots of pictures. I would like to use some of your ideas on my car. If you have a source for the steering and suspension items please let me know where I can find the info. I really like what you have done. Oh and welcome to the site.

I think that is the magnum force tubular kit. A very nice piece, I was looking into that one and the Alterkation, but at this time a bit to pricey for me. Not saying that I won't have that much in suspension when I'm done, I just can't buy in all at once.

Good luck on the project, keep us inform on the progress.

thanks guys for the comments. yes it is a magnumforce tubular k with all there goodies. i looked at every aftermarket k made and that seemed to be the lightest and most structurally sound piece out of them all. The only downfall is you need front bars to support the shock tower seeing it is now a coilover and they say the inner fenders/shocktower cannot withstand the force on it's own. anyhow should be a helluva ride for a "STREETCAR"[sm=icon_rock.gif]

I heard that was the only downfall to the kit. Did you have to buy front bars or were they supplied with the kit

bars were not supplied with the kit. when the chassis guy puts the cage in, i will have him install the bars.

I must ask b/c i don't know and i want to know. I'm very young and i haven't got to see many older cars in action. this car with its hemi dragging or just street racing at a red light match up against, hell i don't know, lets say a acura 92 Nopi car. would the muscle car usually out perform them? Or normally how does it go?

By the way super freaking car man rock on!
