Welcome challenger_girl! I'm a relative newbie here also! I also ordered (on 6/13) a white R/T with the 5.7 Hemi and hood to fender stripes! Electronic convenience group, Package J (with leather, etc). But, I didn't want the Nav or Sunroof. I feel pretty happy to have a contractual agreement to get it at MSRP (I put a $1000 down in 2006 when it was announced that they would build it). Enjoy! :D
ORIGINAL: challenger_girl Been a Ford girl all my life....got my first Dodge 2 years ago....of course the Charger R/T with my new favorite 4 letter word HEMI in it...lol! I was able to convince a dealership to allow me the pleasure of taking a quick spin around the block in the first 2008 Challenger to hit the dealership 2 weeks ago (he was sweating bullets...because the car was already sold). It was love at first push of the start button! I came back and immediately placed my order for the 2009 model. However, with the gas guzzler fee on the SRT8...went with the R/T with the 6-speed....and every possible option available! Stone White with the R/T hood to fender stripes. My order was accepted the next day....and I am officially on the "A" list for the 2009 model. I will officially own one of the first production 6-speed Hemi's and I can't wait. I'm being told I may have delivery by end of August! My only problem...I'm in the process of completing a '70 resto-mod Mustang....oh what to drive today!?;) |

congrats to you as well! We pretty much have the same car ordered cept I went with the sunroof and nav....I got everything that I could get on mine....my total MSRP came to a little over $38k....but my husband works for a dealership....so that will end up coming down when it's here and paid for....were on the list is your order?

Howdy again! I'm not sure where on the list I am or status. I am waiting for the dealership (in Lewisburg, PA) to send me my info sheet. My MSRP came in at just over $34 (but I won't get any employee discount - I just am lucky enough to always buy from a very honorable salesperson). We (my wife and I) have been shopping with their dealership for over 10 years. I got my RAM truck in 2005 during employee pricing sales! Nice discount! I just hope they start making the R/Ts soon after the plant shutdown!

they are scheduled to start on 7/28 when they return....hopefully this layoff thing won't effect the start date....I will cry!!!!
