hmm..i know that with some other "import" engines, such as the 6g72 found in the eclipse, in 2002 they offered two of them, one with 200hp, one with 210hp...the difference comes from a slight change in the shape of the intake manifold...that is also the same engine block in the new eclipse making 260hp, but they have a new head design, as well as the MIVEC system

from sumone who has owned a nissan (import) and a dodge (american domestic) my 2 cents is that new imports suck! [:@] nissan gave me an option to buy the rental car warranty. which, of course id by god forbid! but get this, since ive had the Z i been thru 2 recalls and 13 trips to the shop (NOT for an oil change) where when i had the dodge i only took it in for an oil change. certain things on imports are covered under waranty, which they refrain from telling you... go figure! on top of that, do u think i ever got a rental? NOPE! and why? cuz.... "we at nissan dont think rentals/loaners are in need since our vehicles never break down" what bullsh*t! unfortunately im stuck in the Z, dont get me wrong, the Z is a fun car, but nissan in itself can suck my [X(]

Hey XXX I like the new Z's. Had an encounter with one one night in my wifes Neon. I've put an aftermarket exhaust on it and it "looks" racy with duals coming out of the rear. Anyways I pulled him a little bit from a stoplight onto open highway which I knew would draw a reaction. I just wanted to see what one has. Needless to say he caught up pretty quickly and blew by then tucked back in behind me. Well he tried to get me to play but I knew I didn't have anything for him so I just set the cruise on 85 to see if he'd blow by again. Well he seemed content to cruise at that speed with me and did so for the next 25 miles. Then as I signaled for my turnoff he pulls up and gives the thumbs up which I acknowledge and goes on his way.......cool! Nice car, nice guy, nice drive. A car guy moment.
