Default Compression?

Does anyone know what the comrpession of the 6.1 motor is going to be if they are going to change it? If not should be a beast on a bottle.

Welcome to the site, Why Try. The current compression ratio on the 6.1L is 10.3 to 1 compression ratio. I believe it will remain the same as the engine output is rumored to be identical to that of the LX cars (Charger SRT-8, 300C SRT-8, Magnum SRT-8). Does this answer your question?

technically, you CAN run nitrous on anything, provided the proper tune and such...well, within reason. there are plenty of LX guys running the bottle...

now, the amount of nitrous that you can run will vary depending on the quality of the internals and such...

I just fill my tank with nitrous instead of gas.... Find it works great [sm=nxsmile.gif]

Not really though... I think that would be pretty hard to do and pretty dangerous.....

The max boost the srt will handle reliably is 5.5 pounds so the most gas you could throw at it with the stock internals and a tune would be about a 100 shot.
