Dodge is such a tease! Rumors had been flying before SEMA that a new Challenger would be on display at the upcoming Detroit Auto Show in January, and just to make sure we were all paying attention Dodge has dropped a modern day 6.1L HEMI V8 into a classic 1970 Dodge Challenger convertible. Eric says the buzz on the show floor is that this 500-hp engine will go into the new Challenger and it will also be offered as a crate motor.
