Default ball joint spacers

I'm looking for info on ball joint spacers. I'd tried googling it but I cant really come up with something. Anybody know the pros and cons of them?

misterclowney--I can't believe you can't find the ball joint spacers------they're right next to the BUCKET OF WELDING SPARKS

Cfan I think you're wrong, they are located just in front of the muffler bearings, pretty good idea to swap them out when you're working in that area... better to do it now at a lower cost than having the car towed in on account of bad muffler bearings
