Default Chevy ZL1

Guys,

Chevy has just uped the ante with the 2012 Camaro ZL1. It has 550 hp and 550 ft/lbs torque. This is approaching Viper territority! I know that Dodge seems to have an aversion to superchargers, but the 6.4 needs one to compete. Check out these two links:

I would think that at the very least, Dodge should offer a supercharger through their performance parts system. That way the dealer could install and it should still be covered under the warranty. But then they more than likely don't want to cover a Challenger SRT with a supercharger........
But I agree, if they want to keep up with the big boys, they need to go that route......

It would be pretty sweet if Dodge dropped a SC on the 6.4. That would wipe the smile off GT500 and future ZL1 owners.

On the bright side i read the article on the Ram Tradesman and HD. 30,000 of towing and 800 ft/lbs is pretty sweet. And the Trademan having a Standard Hemi and all the fixins is pretty sweet. Hopefully this is a sign that Ma Mopar is steppin up the game exponentally.

It's only a matter of time before they Supercharge the beast. They just need to do it fast.
