in looking on VP (the name in racing fuel, but there are other, much cheaper companies) prices range from 6-140 dollars a gallon...

my mistake...that is 140 dollars a gallon in austrailian money...1 aussie dollar is about 75 cents here...
700 Aussie dollars for a 5 gallon bucket of pro stock fuel...700 aussie is 530 USD...so thats only 106 a gallon...
nitromethane is 1722USD for a 55 gallon drum...so its only 31 a gallon..
M1 Methanol is 510USD for 55 gallons...so its only 12 bucks a gallon...

Okay that clears that up. Also, don't they use Imperial gallon system over there, if so you might have to take that into account as well.

Okay, just being sure. $12 a gallon is still very expensive. I think if E85 would get the job done, it would be more cost effective in the long run. It is somewhere below $2. That would be a 1/6 of the cost of the racing fuel.

the only issue with that, is the conversion costs, plus the additional tuning...i intend to run an almost identical setup on the demon on the street as i do on the mirada, minus the huge gearing and stall. my past experiences afford me the luxury of having an idea where to start with things once the mirada engine is redone, and switching to E85, or any other fuel, would only cause headaches...

Okay, it was just a thought. I was going to suggest it if you hadn't thought about it and if it would have worked.

Hmmm...Then it might not be such a bad idea. What would you have to do to make the cars able to run on this fuel?
