RE: Glass Cleaner
ORIGINAL: RoswellGrey The best thing I've found is to go to Walgreens and go to the section where they sell eye-care products. They sell little moistened towelettes that are supposed to be used for cleaning eyeglasses. (It notes on the box that they also can be used for computer screens.) I always use a couple of them to finish off cleaning the windows after I have used Windex and paper towels. The little towelettes get rid of the streaks and any residue from the paper towels. Also, never try cleaning the windows if the car is sitting out in the sun. Do it in the shade or in the evening when it's still light enough outside to see what you're doing. Newspaper sound good. i'll go try that. |
RE: Glass Cleaner
It will dry too fast and leave more streaks.

RE: Glass Cleaner
I agree, newspaper & Windex works wonders on glass. Just don't try to use the newspaper to dry the CAR!

I use SParway my self. Works very well. I've used it for 10 plus years. It is difficult to find, but when you do, I think you'ld be happy

Yes, I have heard people using newspaper for years. I don't get the paper and neither do my neighbors. Everybody is doing the news electronically these days.
Invisible glass has been my choice for the last 4 years along with the blue paper towels you get at an auto store. Afterwards I get another blue paper towel and moist it with water and wipe the windshield again. It looks awesome. Be sure to do the interior of the car because the outgassing of automotive interior leaves a cloudy windshield so you want to make sure to clean that mess off. |
