It might hit New Orleans as a category 5 hurricane.
Katrina was only category 3 when it hit New Orleans.

 

I'm glad everyone, well almost everyone is leaving. I don't think NO can survive, or rebuild from a Cat 5. May God have Mercy on their souls!!

I don't think "The Boot" can rebuild after that either, remember after Katrina? They had the huge debate weather to rebuild or not?? Maybe this time they'll get lucky...

 

You mean like Katrina was a 7-10 split and maybe Gustav will be a strike?

Just glad the weather is giving you a break this time bro. I hope it weakens prior to hitting land, but the fact that the evacuations were done early tells me a lesson was learned with Katrina. Mother nature can get real nasty.
