Default street fun

Just wondering if anyone has had any fun street races with their challengers so far. I just got my 09 6 speed r/t. Not too much action for myself. Did a 5-65 mph vs a fox body mustang with a 454 stroker kit. Not sure of the year. Beat it by about 2 car lengths. Had fun with a supercharged scion tc with intake from 5-65. Rolled at 2nd gear with 3 people in the car, i think we still know the outcome. Beat it by about 2 car lengths. Anyway just a little fun was wondering if anyone else is having any fun yet, SAFE races.

I would never, ever, street race...ok, well maybe that one time, but then there was that other time, and then there was that night.....but it wasn't street racing...it was tire testing so it was ok (and there were no police in the area...)

I've tangled with a newer GTO that took us over 140. Because I'm told that 140 MPH is governed and my eyesight isn't what it used to be... but it looked like 150 to me. Several Stangs. But for us to be equals with the GT I'm not seeing results that match. I getting them by a few cars or more. Might be the driver, but some were from a roll. I'm as stock as the day I got the R/T. The Mustangs that I have run sounded to at minimum have exhaust. If one hands me my butt I'll be sure to post. But so far no losses. But then again I'm not into running cars I know are faster. Vipers, Vettes, and Supercharged Stangs ect... And the truck guys, whats up with them. I've been jumped on by all the brands.

I'm fighting the urge at the moment, not too race, been goaded into a few, but I'm suprised at my personal restraint, by not biting.

I don't refer to as racing. I call it hunting and yes I love to hunt.

I've had one actual race/hunt, against a 2001 WS6 Trans Am, from about 60-120. We were both neck and neck until I went to 4th gear (at about redline), then he actually started pulling away from me. At about 120 he was about 2 car lengths ahead. We later stopped and chatted, he claims he has no mods at all on his T/A and it had 128,000 miles on it. Gotta give credit where credit is due - those LS1s are really something (I should know, I've had 3 of them).

About a month ago I had a guy challenge me in a G8 GT, but the guy was acting like a total idiot and I didn't trust him (plus it was at night and traffic was way too heavy).

I did get to one place where I was able to take it up to 140 - it felt like I could have gone faster but I felt like I'd already pushed my luck enough.
