Yep been reading the new Motortrend today, they say 4.7 0-60... there saying it's going to be the SRT Killer.... Comparing it to the Charger in everyway...even saying it's more nimble. Base price is estimated at 38,000 seems steep for a Pontiac but I guess those numbers don't lie.

 

Yep, I read this article today and no doubt they are after s segment of the Challenger market.

 

More like the charger market but maybe that's what you meant. This won't effect the challenger any more than it will effect the camaro. Maybe a little but I think people looking for something to compare to the challenger are more likely to go for the camaro or wait for a G8 Coupe GXP.

 

Yeah, what about the G8 sport truck coming out in 2010, that'll be a good one to have too.

 

Not a problem, guys with 2 extra doors need a little love too Is this a 6-speed or an auto? SRT killer goes to show you we are the litmus test others are compared to. They will have to match me driver for driver in an equally matched car. I know what my limits are. A man has got to know his limitations No fear... bring it on. Boys this is going to be fun I feel like I'm going back to the wild west 70s. My motto is... educating GM and Ford guys one car at a time.

There saying Bob Lutz expects half the cars to be Manual, and possibly a coupe to come out off this line too. (cough,cough) GTO.

 

If they bring the goat back, hope they style it better this time.

 

Does anyone know the specs on this engine? 4.7 and 403 HP? OHV? DOHC? SOHC? VVT? MDS? I would like to know where this HP is coming from.

 

14:1 Compression and it requires 105 Octane?
