World's Fastest Production Car

Check out this video of the Atom sportscar.

It is the world's fastest production car. It is powered by a supercharged Honda engine. It goes from 0-60 in 2.9 sec. and costs only $58,426.

The problem with it is that it is not very safe without a roof (no roll cage) and being so low to the ground (truck drivers could not see you) as a non-practical daily driver.

For the price, I would much rather build one of the kit cars shown here:
