That is one hot bike. I wish I could have seen what he topped out at, but the turbo gauge is in the way.

RE: Crazy speeds on two wheels
The question then comes up. Do you really want to drive something with two wheels and no protection that fast?

Um maybe once. I have been up to 140 on mine, and it feels like the wind will blow you off if you are not ducked down enough. Plus backed off because didn't want to get caught by the CHP.

Better question, do you think the CHP could have actually keep up with you? Unless they had Camaros, you could have lost them. Granted it won't be worth the risk, but just for the sake of discussion.

RE: Crazy speeds on two wheels
they would need more than camaros...
a friend of mine has a CBR with some work done, and early one morning i went onto the interstate and got way out ahead, looking for cops, and he went past me at about 175...at 100, it was like i was parked...
and there was that guy in minnesota or montana (?) who was clocked on radar going like 210 or something on a 2 lane road...he got a ticket for something like 150 over...it was big headlines..

The Camaro package was supposed to have a top speed of 159 mph. For his motorcycle, they might be able to catch him...eventually.

RE: Crazy speeds on two wheels
but im sure that if techman wanted to, his bike would go alot faster than 159..but like he (and a few of my bike-owning friends) have said, at the higher speeds, the air is trying to pull you off the bike, and ive also heard that when passing other, larger vehicles at high speeds, the tail of the bike pulls toward the other vehicle as you pass.

RE: Crazy speeds on two wheels
Your right, he said he's been up to 140 but didn't say that 140 was the top speed. It might go faster, or could easily be modified. I didn't know that the bikes would do that. What causes this, the wind resistance off the car hitting the front of the bike?
