First Official Challenger Commercial
Here is the first official Dodge Challenger commercial that has been shown on the West Coast. While it is great to finally see a commercial for our car, I think that it could have been much better.

My local Dodge dealer has an info-commercial on its web site. Click on "play video" next to any of the Challenger photos on the left. (There are 18 Challengers on its lot).

Yeah I saw that and it was short and sweet. I also saw an SRT-8 Charger commercial and it was bad to the bone. That black SRT-8 Charger is just mean looking, that should be every bad guys ride in the movies. It would add 2X badness to the action for sure.

I've never understood Dodge's apparent aversion to doing Challenger commercials. They haven't showed that commercial here yet, so there's nothing (aside from the fact that every Dodge dealer shows it in dealership commercials). Ford, of course, advertises the hell out of the Mustang and GM is doing a decent job advertising the Camaro. Sometimes, it's obvious why Chrysler is the smallest of the Big Three.

They are playing both the Charger SRT8 and Challenger SRT8 commercials in VA. This should be a good sign that the new Dodge is going to about muscle and power. Did you notice the ram logo is gone, replaced by the flag with the double slash //
There was another official Dodge Challenger commercial, remember a 70 plum crazy racing the concept car down an empty road, before the release of the new Challenger?

It really surprises me that Dodge hasn't done more printed ads on the Challenger in some of the major Auto Magazines. We all know that "Air Time" does cost big bucks, but on the other hand printed ads would be less costly and be targeted to the correct group (those who love auto's).
Bottomline is that Chrysler seems to feel that we owners can do all their PR work for them, and for free.....

Well. I've seen better commercials, but it's still better than nothing.
I'm sorry, but aren't they targeting my approximate age group?
That didn't turn me on frankly. they need a bigger bit, with something relatable and funny. Something like the Charger commercial.

This is the commercial they should have been using....
It's something that an individual put together using the original version of Vanishing Point mixed with some Dodge promotional film....
I added the link to You Tube, but if it's incorrect, just do a serach for:
"Vanishing Point 2008"

Yes, I know there would be licensing problems...not to mention the story line of
Vanishing Point, BUT....it would be one of the best auto commercials...ever
Check it out......then you decide....
