I have 2 SRT8's on order. No deposit and each knows about the other and its basicly a situation of who gets me a car first. Both are promised at $500 below MSRP. I prefer one dealer over the other, he is a small dealership owned by a larger chain. The other is a large dealership in a Chrysler Factory town. Nothing bad just prefer the small dealer.
Anyway the VON on the small dealership shows a C status and the other dealer called me a bit ago and told me my car was in D1 status and might be here in a few weeks. Sweet. However when I asked for a vin he told me he had a "partial" and rattled a # to me. Funny but it was the VON, so I called and checked with the friends in India and they show its in BG status. Hmmmm,,,, I called back and told him but he said he wasnt at his desk and would have to double check for me. Told me they have several SRT8s on order. Why do I get the feeling Im being led down the path and how many of you guys who have been told your SRT8 is in D status actually got a VIN to go with it???
BTW both cars were ordered the same day,, end of June.

 

It looks like you should go with the small dealership. At least they are not giving you BS.

 

I don't know much these status,, can you guys explain more about that? but the looks of it, the one you prefer is the the better one. Any bad feedbacks others say about the big dealer?
