24's on a Challenger a joke .... not this one.
In my condo I am the first Challenger owner , and now there are two. There is a music producer with a silver SRT8 who painted it Candy Silver (even spoiler) , 24" Vellano's (about 10-15 grand) , and a Vortech Supercharger.
I have not raced or anything but his tires look like rubber bands ... I am very curious how this car will preform with such big rims ... does anyone think that with the vortech and the 3 piece rims that this car will fly ? Or will the 4's limit it ? It looks great and I will snap a photo AS soon as I get a digi camera.

If you wanted to race seriously, you'd probably need to get a bigger rear end... The gears aren't very big as they are on the Challenger and going bigger with rims and tires just puts added stress on them... As in Trucks too if you lift it and put some serious rubber on them you should always think about swapping out the rear end for a bigger one...

The car is probalby very fast, however it will never hook up with those rims and tires. No one makes sticky tires in that diameter. With the power he is likely making he will need some good sticky tires to take advantage of it. Quarter miles et's will be slow....but the MPH will be high if racing on those wheels. Once it gets traction it should fly.

RE: 24'
Funny how perceptions change with time. 5 years ago, 20" wheels were considered grossly impractical and only suitable for a gaudy, "pimped out" car. Now they are stock, and 24 is the new 20.
Diamond encrusted wheels though?? That's a waste of money. I hope they are fake diamonds. Otherwise Rudy, you should race him, and have someone at the starting line to see if he flings any off while his wheels are spinning
