The sway bars come in tomorrow, but I won't get a chance to put them on for another week or so. Last week when replacing the shackle the leaf spring unsprung and smashed my thumb between it and an impact gun, it nearly chopped it off. Man did that hurt.
I'll try and get some pics this weekend, it'll give me a reason to wash it. |

Man I hate to hear about the thumb. Its like you have to give blood before the job is over. I hope to put the sway bars on this week, but my son needs his car so I will most likely change the clutch in his Stealth instead. The weather is supposed to be nice this weekend, so I might get both. Can't wait to see the pics.

Nice pictures,very beautiful scenery. Doesn't take a lot of effort to have a good time in a place that scenic. I got my front sway bar in and it looks like the weather will be good this weekend. So I will be installing them this weekend. Any suggestions on steering box. I have a factory manual steering and it is worn out. I saw a Co. selling new manual quick ratio steering boxes. But I thought I might want power steering. So what do you folks think?

jdb840 did you already have the swaybars on your Challenger? The exhaust on that Chally is a work of art. I'm leaning towards the dynomax also. Are they quiet or do they rumble. I'm told its the closest sound to a factory muscle car. The sway bars you have look alot like the kit I have. Black bars and all the hardware included. Again you have a nice car and the pictures look great.

Sorry this is after the install of the front sway bar. The orginal bar was so tiny compared this one. This weekend I should be able to have the rear one installed.
As for the exhaust it's the 2.5 in X pipe magnaflow system, which I got for a reallty good price. Here's where I got mine from for $330, which is about $150 cheaper than anywhere else. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=150101802770 It's a little quiter during idle, but louder and deeper during any kind of acceleration. I finished the install of the rear sway bar yesterday. I really don't care of the bushing brackets for the axle. The bar is roughly a 1/8 in under the diff cover, which I would assume it will hit. I took it out for a test drive, and all I can say is WOW!!!! I can't belive what a difference all this stuff has made

Good news, glad your results were so positive. How is your steering now? I'll be putting mine on as soon as I recieve a part that was left out. I have everything for the rear sway bar, but one of the angle bracket on the front kit was left out. On a positive note I got a drivers side goodmark fender for $350.00. Has a slight blemish on the side of the fender. Won the bid on E-bay on Sunday, a birthday present for my self. So the handling is a real improvment feel. Great any other suspension mods planned?

Congrats on the good deal for a fender!
Those angle brackets are kind of tricky to install, because once that's bolted in, there isn't much room to tighten the end link bolt. You have to make sure the nut on the end link attaches to the sway bar, if not it won't fit. There's only one way it will work, so you can't mess it up, just might add alittle more time to the install. I think I'm done for this year modding the car, although I will be buying new tires sometime this summer. I would eventually like to get the corner fast kit, or something similar to redo the front suspension, maybe over the winter. Then I'm done with the suspension parts. I'm planning on getting eddie heads and a engine rebuild kit for next year. |
