Default Dealers on the Registry

Is it just me, or has there been a major influx of dealers posting vehicles on the Registry. As of the time of this posting, there are 19 cars listed as "HERE" and 16 of them have Dealership names associated with them. In fact there are 11 different dealerships posting cars on the registry now. Whats up with that? I guess it has become a source of free advertising for them? I dont suppose they will give part of their profits to Venthos, who put in the time and effort to build the site for those of us who ORDERED our cars.

Either way, I think this confirms the suspicions of many members of this forum that the dealers are indeed the first ones getting their allocation of vehicles. I guess since we have already given them OUR money, we dont matter anymore. Oh sure, they will trickle a few cars out to those of us who ordered to try to keep us quiet, and give them an example to point to for plausible deniability. But in the end, it looks like they have found another way to maximize profits by sticking it to the little guys. With the exception of my first truck, I have purchased all my vehicles new from Dodge. But if this is way they treat their loyal customers, I think this will be the last Chrysler product I buy for a while.

Yes, I know I am in D1 status and shouldnt be complaining. I realize that there have been bugs to work out on the 6-Speeds that mya have caused some delays and that my order is in pretty good shape. But it isnt me I am mad for. Its everyone else who was first in line to order these vehicles in May that are still languishing in BX and C status. It is those cars that should have been built first, and screw the dealers who have (with the exception of a select few) done nothing but gouge Dodges reputation away.

Wow, this post went a bit astray from my original purpose! I guess I had a bit of pent up frustration I needed to vent.

Skidds I think you are 100 % right and I think this forum or the registry has the right and the obligation to do something about those dealers that post that are not our friends or vendors. By that I mean either chrge them for regitering their vehicles or throw them the heck off by deletingb their postings. That my opinion for whats its worth and I've been a forum member since the beginning almost! Done ranting now[sm=rant.gif] , Thanks Fat Cat [sm=gears.gif]

The dealer registered cars are actually from a forum member. 100% of the 2009 model year dealer registered cars were posted up on the Registry by the forum member 'MnHotRod'. He has his own car listed, too. He actually emailed me about it and asked if it's okay if he does it. Personally I don't see much harm in it since it helps us further gauge who is getting cars and when. I would draw the line if I saw prices/contact info/etc. being posted, though.

To my knowledge dealers themselves haven't registered cars, at least not under their Dealer name.

It is pretty disheartening, though, to see dealers getting massive stock while folks who pre-ordered are barely moving forward in status. I'll make a new post with the information I have on that.

I don't mind the dealer cars there. It lets me run the VIN's and VON's and see different aspects of the whole deal. It also gives a more representative view of what is really happening, such as the percentages of colors being produced, etc. I don't like them getting theirs first since I have had a car ordered since December 3rd, but it's the facts of what's happening.

Well, I guess if Venthos OKd it doesnt bother as much. But Id still like to know why the dealers get their cars first. There is even a status in VIN vision that states if a car is a pre-order or not. Why would they bother gathering that information if they are going to ignore the pre-orders anyway? I just wish I knew what their thought process was over there.

Agreed, with the "Sold Order" being avail through vinvision it's silly for non-sold orders to get made before hand.
