Now that looks like a ride. That boy is standing tall and putting down the ponies. Great picture and I bet it brings back fond memories.

Default Newer picture of Buick GS as a full race car

This is a picture of the Buick a year or so ago . A long time friend does the engine and work on the car for the current owner of it . It has been a legal NHRA stock class race car since 78 . The other picture I posted was taken with a polariod camera . The reason for poor quality. The last time I saw the car it has the spoke Weld wheel's on it now . And run's 11's in 1/4 I think and 6's in the 1/8th . Depend's on what year and engine you claim as to what class. You can change the grille and head light trim and run as 72 model with the correct engine . The 72 had lower compression than the 71 . But the car was a orginal 71 Stage 1 .

Default The Challenger R/T I had

I purchased the R/T 340 new when I got back from Vietnam. As you can see I added the T/A spolier and wide rim's on the rear. From a wrecked T/A . The bumper from the T/A in the rear was light weight alloy . I got it also. Sold the car in Nov. 72 and got married. Got a big Chevy Caprice or top line 2 door model . Hated it . It was so slow . Felt like a big boat . I then found the year old 71 Buick GS Stage 1 . And got into Pure stock racing it with help from Kenne Bell Buick on parts. I spent around $10,000 on speed work on the Challenger . But did all the work except for machine work on the Buick . Learned alot more . Seem's funny . I sold the 71 R/T and gave it up in early Nov. and I purchased my new 09 on Nov. 7th 2008. Life is good again. Also I talk to a Mopar guy the other day and think I know who has my old Challenger. A full blown race car. He is checking on the vin from the window sticker I still have to see if it is my car.
