It may seem like a novelty, but once your vehicle if so equiped...you will never want to use the key again...it's so nice to just push a button and hear the music coming from the Hemi...

I know the pushbutton is really a novelty but I paid for it so I might as well have it right?!

So i talked to my dealer and Im more confused! Can someone with SRT8 take a pic of where this button is? I have the funny looking key, doesnt the button just go in place of where you would put the key? They keep saying I should have and "emptly" hole on the dash somehwere???!!!???

Take your car to the dealership. Let them see that it is missing. They will ask you what you did to it and blame you for the button being gone. Tell them it was never there. They will replace it and your problem is solved.

You are correct, the key hole is the button hole. There should be no special hole for the button. My dealership tried to throw the bag away that had the code necessary to get a replacement for the FOB's. I mentioned it before the trash was thrown out and they dug it out. Your button is probably long gone. It's not in the glove box or console is it?

No I looked everywhere for it! The guy who traded it in probably has it. I have to go get my first oil change done so I'll have them look at the paperwork (window sticker) and get me a replacement.

I think there is some minor confusion on the dealer's part in answering that question. The Remote Start is only available on the automatics but the Keyless Go can be in the manuals with the right group of options.

I feel stupid asking this ,but when I bought my used 09 Challenger R/T 6 speed, I saw it had "keyless" go pkg. Is this just the keyfob to alarm disarm etc? I asked about the push button start and was told that it only comes on automatics?!? Is that wrong I think it is! Someone please clarify this for me I'd like my go button if it came with the car!

It is a nice feature but it still has its querks...

For one, you still need to pull the keyfob out of your pocket (or at least fiddle with it in your pocket) to unlock the car when you walk up to it.

I really wish the dash key hole was lit or the Keyless Go button had a light in it to make it easier to find in the dark.

If you turn the car off with the Keyless Go button, when you get out and start walking away, you better make sure you know where the key fob is before closing all of the doors if you manually hit the lock button on the door panel.

Last, you can not fully disable the ESP/BAS (electronic traction control nanny) with the keyless go button in place. You need to insert that huge keyfob in the dash and give it that extra twist while the car is moving to get the ESP/BAS fully off.

Some other cars with a keyless go feature have a key fob that autmatically unlocks the doors when you get within a certain range of the car, therefore no fumbling for the key at all.

So, when we're pressing and holding the ESP button until it beeps, we still aren't fully over-riding the ESP??

Pressing and holding the ESP button on my car does not result in any beeps and only results in turning on the ESP indicator on in my dash. I have the full EVIC package with all the bells and whistles and hidden 0-60 timers and top speed recorder. With just the ESP indicator lit on the dash, the ESP nanny still kicks in after it feels I've already had too much fun with rear wheel spin.

If you get the beep, what indicator do you get on the dash? Just the ESP light or the ESP/BAS light? And do you have the EVIC package?
