I used the rubber stud covers I put on converter studs for shipping. They fit tight and only time will tell. Even a grommit that is as deep, or a patch on the seat as an extra skin.

A little strange that we find ways to save Dodge money, because I know its one of those things they would have to fix. Just a shorter bolt would have done wonders. I cant believe that no one on the assembly line saw this.

A shorter bolt would have worked but the suppliers for the seats that supply seats for many LX versions is the final assembler and they would have to mandate the change. This would no doubt have to be re certified for safety and strength, so it ends up not being such an easy thing to get changed. How many of you are actually having issues and have seats that are worn all the way through? If you have this problem Email me your info and I will ask if anything can be done besides your obvious cheap fix to prevent it.

Thanks

It is not a if, it is a when.I dont want to sit in car til it gets fixed. Now the people that have holes already need to bitch loudly. There is no reason safety or otherwise to have a bolt extrude so far.If I could get at it easily I would remove it and shorten it by about 1/2".

Auto Zone Cruiser Accessories...screw covers $2.99 4 piece set.
They are by the Dice for your valve stems...or 8 balls or skulls.
I had to ream out holder(washer) with 5/16" bit,by hand, snapped right on.Still aint right but will do for time being.
Did you find them yet Mopar? Call me I will walk you through where to look.

Hey, Mopar found other sharp spots on the seats. Andre...move your hand forward along plastic with controls on it towards front of seat but be careful really sharp.
I want to pull off cover in am.These are way sharper than big bolt in rear of seat.

Yeah these two are sharp. I would assume that these are on both the inboard and outboard rails but will have to confirm that. The inboard side is tight and hard to try to get your hand in to feel around. These are the ones that I thought everyone was talking about until RUBBER MAN showed me the one at the base of the seat back.

Mike... when you get the plastic covers off see if you can get some nice clear high res pics. Send them to me if you would like and I can get them posted.

Called my salesman and told him about it and he was shocked. He checked the Challenger on the floor to confirm and also a Charger, and found the Charger has the same bolts.
Has anyone checked to see if the Charger guys have any issues with it?

Ramit, thank you for finding this. It looks like we all have the same problem.
