When I was going to work this afternoon, I went outside and found both doors of the Challenger unlocked and both windows about a third of the way down. I went back in and asked my wife if she'd opened the car for some reason. She said no.

I hadn't driven the Challenger since last Thursday and know the windows haven't been down all those days, because I walk right past the car every day. I got to thinking that maybe one of our cats had walked on the key fob when I left it out on a table, as I've accidentally re-locked the doors a few times just by having the fob in my pocket and bumping it into something. However, I don't recall having left the key fob out last night.

At any rate, when I took off with my Mustang to go to work, just a few blocks away at an intersection, I encountered a black Challenger coming from the general direction of my house, although one block over. I was stuck at a traffic light and the Challenger got away before I could get close to it. This is the first time I've seen another Challenger anywhere close to where I live.

I'm wondering now if that person's key fob could have unlocked the doors, etc., on my Challenger -- whether intentionally or unintentionally. Has anyone else ever had something like that happen?

You can't roll the windows down with a key FOB, can you?
I just bought an SE and am still learning.

Just push the unlock button with windows up and hold it and the windows will come down as long as you hold the button down. You probably just accidentially pushed on the button and held it long enough for the windows to go the to height you found them at.

Yeah, I'm hoping either I rolled them down accidentally or one of the cats did by stepping on the key fob. But seeing that other Challenger made me wonder....

Apparently, jh27, the computer has to "learn" to do this. It may take a few attempts to get it to work properly. Also, you have to click at the right pace -- not too fast or too slow. Stand where you can see both door locks. Click once and release. When the driver's door lock pops up, click again and release. When the passenger door's lock pops up, click again and hold down. That should roll down the windows for you.

Everything considered, it's something you'll probably never use, unless maybe if your car is sitting out in the sun in the summertime and you want to let some of the hot air out before you get in. I think they put the feature on the car just because they could.

Roswell is correct, but my R/T had this function activated the first time I tried it. It would have been nice if they also let you roll the windows back up with the fob but I don't believe this will work. I have owned cars that would do both.

You can go into your personal settings and get the door locks to both open on the 1st click.
