Default RE: 1st year bugs

What Jeremiah said is correct. Although the engine, transmission, and parts used on the platform are proven, there still are many parts that are new. Also, it isn't always about how new the parts are, it is also how experienced the building crew is with building that particular model. Even if they have built 300s for years and did a good job at it, this is a different model despite the similarities. It takes some time to get adjusted to the change.

Also one of the reason for waiting is the crash test ratings. For example, Chrysler made changes that made the 02 model Caravans significantly safer than the 01 models despite the fact that the 01 model was the completely updated model. I just don't like taking the risk after what I have observed.

Blu Angel: Out of curosity, which engine did you have with the Vision and how many kilometers or miles did you put on it before you retired it?
