I own a 1988 Conquest TSI and in the process of putting the engine back together. It is set up for a turbo and has a few things that you need internally for the turbo motor to live. It has oil squirters and an oil cooler. Also has low compression pistons 7:1 and a knock sensor. I know the cars of present day have a knock sensor, but this was a car of the 80s. Also the computor retards timing as it increases in RPM. I have added some improvements myself and these will also help as the boost is turned up
