Thank you for that interesting article. I could not remember the particulars but knew we basically provided them the know how regarding quality control after the war. The germans always over engineer things (yes I am stereo typing) but come up with advanced technology, although I kid with my friend who owns a porsche and ask him how he likes his tiger tank. BMW made the engines for the FW 190 and of course we know who made the Zero for japan. Times sure have changed for the good. I believe Chrysler made the Shermans, they might have been zippo lighters but were very dependable. I know Chrysler made the M1 Abrams until they sold that division off.
