kevin, I think you're really missing the whole point. Which is: For the negligible amount of difference the
top-end Challenger bests the
entry-level V8 Mustang by, the price variance between the two is difficult to justify. Nobody is doubting the GT is outmatched in every way possible (performance wise), but can you honestly justify spending roughly $13-$15K more on an SRT8 Challenger for just 0.2 seconds 0-60 and be neck-in-neck down the 1/4 mile? I think that's what this whole discussion boils down to. At first, I could not. But then I realized that not only do I have a desire to keep driving a performance car, but I also want to drive something you don't see out there everyday...10 times a day. That's all I got...
