if it cost less people would buy it irs is good for handling for strait drag racing the live axel is better and it would bring the weight of the car down also the cost it should be offered on the R/T anyway i can understand keeping the irs on the SRT

I can see the point about cutting the costs, the only problem with that point is having both in there will drive up the price due to lack of economies of scale, plus you have to go through the whole process of redesigning and what not so you might come out with the same result.

you wouldn't have the same result one would handle better the other would be better in the 1/4 mile i don't think it would be to difficult to put a live axle in the challenger just looks at the challenger SS

Older Mustangs with IRS were too heavy for the 1/4 mile strip, so owners would modify them and make them live axles which also made them lighter and more competitive.
