Default RE: Sorry Mopar, This Challenger lacks "It"

Ripetide, I give you credit for that; however, one example after dozens of examples that show it as 5.1 or slower is not sufficient to prove that it will do the 4.9 sec everytime as they claim that they claim it will. The fact is I have even seen one case with the LX cars doing 4.6 sec, but I will not use it because I cannot find a second publication to prove it. No matter how you cut it, the GT is simply not as fast as the GT and is logically not in the same class. The LX SRT-8s cars were said to do the acceleration times in the low 5s, yet magazine after magazine shows them doing it under 5 secs. The simple issue here is consistency. One time does not prove that number is completely accurate. The issue here is Ford tends to overrate (provide faster times than what is normally achieved) their acceleration times and Chrysler tends to underrate them (slower than normally achieved). Remember that the 300C was originally stated to accelerate in the lower 6 sec range when it pretty consistently accelerates from 5.9 secs to 5.3 secs.

Having said this, if a Mustang is what you want, then more power to you, but just know that the GT is not the equal to an SRT-8 Challenger.
