Default Tire Choices

I did a little checking and neither of these tires, according to owner surveys at Tire Rack, are great choices.

Both tires have soft componds and wear out very quickly. The RS-A ($133 ea.) is wear-rated at 260 and the F1 ($263 ea.) at 220. With the F1, you get larger rear tires but they are not very stable under 80 degrees and tend to easily pick-up road debris.

I wish we had another choice, like the Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R or the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2.

I guess that since I intend to drive my car in cold weather, I'll stick with the stock Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires until they wear out, and then upgrade them.
