Tire Choices
I did a little checking and neither of these tires, according to owner surveys at Tire Rack, are great choices.
Both tires have soft componds and wear out very quickly. The RS-A ($133 ea.) is wear-rated at 260 and the F1 ($263 ea.) at 220. With the F1, you get larger rear tires but they are not very stable under 80 degrees and tend to easily pick-up road debris.
I wish we had another choice, like the Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R or the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2.
I guess that since I intend to drive my car in cold weather, I'll stick with the stock Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires until they wear out, and then upgrade them.

RE: Tire Choices
Yeah, tire options are very limited. The F1 Supercar (the Summer tire) is fine above 50 degrees, and driveable as long as it's not freezing or snowing. The RS-A is a bit lacking in rain traction (though the F1 isn't all that much better). The Michelin HXMXM4 that they're aiming to put on the R/T isn't that super either, and there aren't a lot of other options in the stock sizes (at least not yet). The 28.7" overall diameter of the SRT8 tires is taller than most performance cars are running. 245/40R20 gives a lot of choices for tires, but is short by about an inch of diameter. Overall, I give the tire situation three [:'(]'s out of a possible 4.

RE: Tire Choices
I replaced my original Goodyear Eagle RS-As on my Grand Am at 45,000 miles, but they could have lasted longer. The second set of Goodyear Eagle RS-As lasted over 55,000 miles. The third set of RS-As were used and those lasted 30,000 miles. As of last summer I have brand new Goodyear Eagle F1 All-Seasons. The All-Season version of the F1 just came out last summer and were actually cheaper than the RS-As, but I really like this tire, more than the RS-A. Not sure if it is available in the Challenger size.
