Default RE: MSRP

I do not believe the fervor for the 2008 Challenger has quite died down yet, but the initial rush is clearly over. I have a local dealer here in New Hampshire (Allen Mello Dodge)
that received five of these beauties. Two Black and three Orange. Three of them were spoken for and sold immediately upon arrival. Today, they have two sitting in
the show room, a Black one #5637 and an Orange one #5516. Both are completely optioned out. I spoke with the General Sales Manager, Jim Kacavas, and he informs me they
have had several "national" inquiries already, but nothing firm. The cars actually just arrived last Firday, so it has not been that long.

For someone who still wants an '08 Challenger, they are still out there nationally, but I doubt they will come down above MSRP for a while yet. You may have to wait a
while longer, maybe months, since the '09 SRT8s are not hitting the streets till late November. My Friend at the dealership actually offered me the Orange one, knowing full
well I have an '09 on order, but I again insisted, I have to have a manual or nothing.
So here's your challenge. If you want to try out your best negotiation skills, the deals are out there to be had - all over the country.
I know the guys locally at Allen Mello Dodge, (not sure it is a good thing if you reference me, they may either entertain a little negotiation or hang up immediately, hahaha 8^).)
If you talk to Jim Kacavas, the GSM, (800-891-5732, jkacavas@allenmello.com) he may go easy on you though. He is a super guy, very fair minded and straight forward.

I do hope those still hunting for an '08 Challenger get what they seek at a reasonable price. They really are a great car. Though I don't own one, I got several rides
in them over the past year and wow. What a piece of work. The SRT guys are to be commended. I think they did a great job with the tools and technology they
were allowed to use.

Happy Hunting all.
