I don't get how American auto makers don't understand there will always be a need for the pony car segment.

If Chevy doesn't move a huge number of camaro's the first year the bean counters want it killed. Hard to picture them killing it off after only a year or two, because of the cost involved with tooling, suppliers, etc.
