I agree it is partly how you market it. Now in the case of the Monte Carlo, it is a very fuel efficient car. The base model gets 31 mpg on the highway, and the SS model gets 28 mpg on the highway. The thing that helps the Mustang is the fact that it has been around for many years. It probably has one of the highest name recognition out in the market.
